#DigitalDigbeth Day – immerse yourself in the Live Stream Tour with Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery!
Posted in: Digital Digbeth
#DigitalDigbeth Day is all about showcasing the incredibly innovative creative sector that is flourishing in our region. This vibrant innovation will be demonstrated no more so than with the pioneering blending of the old and new by the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery’s Live Stream Tour!
Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery (BMAG) is housed in a Grade II* listed city centre landmark building and includes over 40 galleries that display art, applied art, social history, archaeology and ethnography. BMAG is also part of the Arts Council Collection National Partners Programme, which aims to expand its reach through a series of exhibitions, alongside outreach and digital projects.
On #DigitalDigbeth Day, BMAG will be hosting a live stream tour from the gallery beamed into Fazeley Studios showcasing the new Arts Council Collection exhibition I Want! I Want! Art & Technology. BMAG’s Learning Officer, Jon Sleigh, will be giving an interactive guided tour from the exhibition, which showcases work by artists and collectives who have been influenced by the rapid development of technology over the last 20 years. Viewers will be curating the tour and getting an expert sneak peek into this new exhibition as Jon answers your questions live. There will also be a ‘How To’ section, explaining how to engage new museum audiences using Periscope.
It is really exciting to have BMAG taking part in #DigitalDigbeth Day and providing such a fascinating insight into this innovative exhibition format. Be a part of the Live Stream Tour and register for your FREE ticket now!
#DigitalDigbeth Day takes place on Thursday 15th June at Fazeley Studios.
